The Hingham Housewife, Author Alexandra Slater, joined the morning team once again to help our listener friends with their problems.
This week, we had a woman who can't stand her mother-in-law and asked for advice on how to confront her or leave her out of family invites.
Dear Housewife,
I can't stand my mother-in-law. She is overbearing and insists I do things her way all the time. My husband is very close to her, and I want to support him, but I legit do not want to invite her over or include her in any family gatherings. I can tell she doesn't like me, as she's always saying passive aggressive remarks. Can I confront her or just leave her out? What do I do?
Sincerely,
Dismayed Daughter-in-Law
The Hingham Housewife advised our listener to try to have some empathy for her MIL and find a place of commonality. After all, it's her husband's MOTHER, and if they want to have a harmonious family relationship, it's best to treat her with respect. The HH also recommended setting some boundaries and communicating gently her feelings about this to her husband.
Beth agreed and suggested the listener step back from some activities involving the MIL. But, Rob chimed in and emphasized the importance of keeping the peace for the sake of the grandchildren having a relationship with their grandmother.
We also had a listener text in her opinion:
from a (508) number:
She BIRTHED your husband, so you need to treat her with respect.
True 'dat, 508!
R-E-S-P-E-C-T! Find out what it means to me (or your mother-in-law).

Rob and Beth are always so excited for the weekly Tech Talk with David Snell of ACT Smart I.T. in Wareham, because it gives them a lesson in all things I.T., but it also allows them to ask David for advice on how to navigate the virtual world... in reality.
No April Fool's Jokes today because David discusses another way scammers are trying to get the best of us by manipulating websites and possibly capturing YOU... with a fake CAPTCHA! Ya know CAPTCHA, those annoying things we have to do to prove we're not all robots while we're having fun on the internet.
Listen in as we discuss this phenomenon and also the best way to prove you are NOT a robot (unless you are a robot reading this, and in that case you do need to be truthful, ROBOT!). You can also read David's full blog post here:

It is More Comfort Monday so it is time for Rob and Beth's weekly realignment with Diane Jordan of Natural Body Works in Kingston. This week, Diane talks about the power of self-healing, where she mentions a client recuperating from an injury and using the power of the subconscious to heal fully:
This is a self-healing technique, combining Spiritual Energy Healing and self-hypnosis and can be used for any physical or emotional challenge. I use with clients, for myself and I’ve been teaching clients to use it on their own.
So, to explain how this works we need to understand the subconscious mind.
As we may remember the subconscious mind never sleeps, it holds our entire memory system and it stores those memories with all our emotions – because it also houses our entire emotional system.
It can’t differentiate between imagination and reality; everything we think and imagine is stored in our subconscious memory as actual reality.
And the subconscious mind controls over 90% of our overall function.
We use our subconscious and conscious mind, together our brain, to think, feel and operate our body, every moment of every day.
We get up, start our day, shower, coffee, work – whatever - and we continue to decide what to think, feel and act on, all day until we go to sleep. We are already in command, we just need to know how to use it. Our brain is the boss of our body and we can learn to use it effectively.
I Command Self-healing combines the healing energy of love from our spiritual support and our boss brain to command our thoughts, feelings and the cells in our body to do what we want.To do it, we decide what we want to focus on changing.
Then we call upon our Spiritual Support – (whoever that is for us) and ask Spirit to fill us with the energy of Love.Visualize this as White Light flowing through our body and say:
“I am speaking to all the cells in my body, I command all my cells to fill with love and light” Then visualize White Light head to toe for a few moments.
Then we say, “I Command all the cells in my body to work together efficiently and heal me on every level”
Then we command the change we want and visualize our-self in that way.I’ll use the example from my recent client, who I spoke of a couple weeks ago. They are in PT for a knee injury. We made good progress in two sessions, reducing pain and getting their flexion up from 80 to 100 degrees, but they reached a PT plateau and could not get flexion beyond 100 degrees.
Their command was “I command my knee to now be in perfect structure, function, strength, comfort, flexibility and flex to 110 degrees with ease and grace”
110 degrees is where they needed to be by the next Dr appointment to avoid a 3rd surgeryThey used I Command several times a day for 2 days and then had the next PT where they reached 110 of flexion with much less pain.

People talk a lot about 'red flags' in relationships, but for this week's Love Bites segment, we wanted to identify GREEN flags that can indicate a healthy path towards a long-lasting union.
Former professional matchmaker Francesca Luca of The Francesca Luca Show joins The South Shore's Morning News every Friday morning at 8:40 for Love Bites, our relationship and romance feature, sponsored by Fearless Angel Boutique in Norwell.
One listener wrote in asking for Rob, Beth, and Francesca to discuss what "good signs" people can look for when getting to know someone:
Hi,
I'm tired of hearing about red flags, are there any green flags? Like how do you know when to give that someone a second or even third chance?
Thank you

The Hingham Housewife is back from her travels abroad! Author Alexandra Slater joined the morning team once again to help our listener friends and their problems.
For this week, we have a frustrated wife trying to coax her hubby into sharing his location with her through their iphones:
Dear Hingham Housewife,
My husband won’t share his location on his phone with me, bc he says it’s an invasion of his privacy and I should trust him. But I like to know where he is throughout the day and evening, and when I can anticipate his home arrival. Am I being overbearing to ask him to share it? I share my location with him!
Sincerely,
Lost Without Him
Beth and the Hingham Housewife agreed on location sharing as they are both big fans of it themselves. Rob grappled with what he would do in this situation. Listen and decide what side you are on:
