My Wife Won't Retire...It's Making Me Lonely! Ask the Hingham Housewife!

It wouldn't be Wednesday without our weekly dose of advice from the Hingham Housewife! Author Alexandra Slater is here to help with various life dilemmas submitted by our listeners. 

One disgruntled gentleman wrote in for some guidance on feeling resentment towards his spouse:

Dear Hingham Housewife:

 

I've been retired for about seven years and while I enjoy spending more time on my hobbies such as fishing and golfing; I am resentful that my wife continues to work. We're financially independent and she could retire if she wanted. But she says likes getting out of the house five days a week and enjoys the job. However, I am feeling lonely and neglected. Is it wrong for me to feel that way? Do you think she could cut back? I would appreciate your advice.
