Phones Tracking You, Me, Us All Together!? Tech Talk with David Snell of ACT Smart I.T. in Wareham
This week's Tech Talk is an especially important one because it confirms what we have ALL been wondering: our phones are listening to us. David Snell of Act Smart I.T. in Wareham has let us know it is actually MORE than just listening: it's something called Ultrasonic Cross-Device Tracking.
Here is how David defines it:
Ultrasonic cross-device tracking refers to a method of tracking users across multiple devices by leveraging ultrasonic signals, typically transmitted through the air. This technology can be used to link a user’s activity on one device, like a mobile phone, with their activities on another device, like a smart TV, based on proximity.
