Hingham Housewife, Author Alexandra Slater, stops by every Wednesday morning at 9:10 to help listeners with their life problems/dilemmas! Since this past Sunday was the Super Bowl, there seemed to be some discord in a certain household:
Dear Hingham Housewife:
I have been giving my husband the cold shoulder since Sunday because we had a disagreement while watching the Super Bowl. My husband is originally from Pennsylvania so he was rooting for the eagles. Since the eagles were doing so well, I asked if he could just walk the dog very quickly, as I am currently getting over a cold and wasn't feeling up for it. My husband rudely said no and suggested "I get some exercise". I went into the bedroom instead to go to bed. I feel like he was insensitive to my condition and also the dog needed a walk. He refuses to apologize and claims "I ruined the night". Can you please help me reach a resolution or tell my husband he's wrong and apologize since he is a big WATD listener, especially in the mornings. Thanks!
Rob, Beth, and Alexandra all agreed it was never a good idea to tell your spouse to "get some exercise" but valid points were made from all sides, listen to the segment here.
