It is officially the start of Thanksgiving week so it was only natural we kicked the holidays off by checking in with More Comfort Mondays from Natural Body Works in Kingston.

Rob is entering a new decade so he's decided to try something he has never tried before - growing a beard! The only issue is that Rob needs a little bit of tips and tricks for proper beard maintenance and grooming. We brought in the professionals - Barber Cheryl Dunn from Old Salt Barbershop in Marshfield. They are located on Ocean Street and Cheryl has been a professional barber for over 40 years! Rob and Beth are big fans of theatre here at The South Shore's Morning News so they were delighted to welcome in the main cast members from The North River Theatre's production of The Weir. Opening Friday November 22nd, this play from famous Irish playwright and screenwriter, Conor McPherson, is a journey of human emotion, connection, and some spookiness tucked in between.

Kicking off next week is the favorite event for this time of year, the Holiday Lights Spectacular. Starting November 29th, you can walk through 40 acres of illuminated trail, and marvel at the over 3 million (!) lights set up for this spectacular celebration. It was a Monday morning studio party for Rob and Beth as three wonderful guests joined them in studio: Peter Brown from Tiny & Sons Glass Co., Jeff Cohen from One Stop Painting and Renovating, and Dave Gallerani, from Cape Auto. They were all in studio to promote an exciting event coming up in Plymouth: the 1st Annual Pub Crawl and Scavenger Hunt to benefit the Plymouth Fire and Police Funds.
The event is happening this Wednesday, November 20th between 5 and 9pm. You start at the registration site on the Plymouth Green and then you will go around to numerous Plymouth restaurants all while partaking in a fun scavenger hunt game from an app on your phone. QR code will be provided to attendees. Listen for all the fun and event details.

Diane Parrish was once a dental hygienist, lawyer, and now she is fulfilling her long-awaited dream of publishing her first novel. Something Better is out now and available on paperback or digital. It is an intricate tale involving lost friends, forbidden connections, and the complexities of life. You can meet her this Wednesday, November 20th at the at the Duxbury Free Library done in conjunction with the Duxbury Senior Center between 1 and 2pm.
