Did you know we have a local sea turtle population, especially on the Cape and the South Shore? Did you also know that turtles get "cold stunned" when the ocean temperature drops below 55 degrees. In this week's Paws N' Claws segment we talked to Emeritus Sanctuary Director for the Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary Bob Prescott and he explained the vital conservation efforts for the local sea turtles, what to do if you encounter a "cold stunned" sea turtle on the beach, and the efforts put forth by the Sea Turtle Hospital in Quincy to get our turtle friends through the winter unharmed.

The South Shore's Morning News designated October 14th as 'Pink Day' in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month on 95.9 WATD. Rob and Beth spoke with Dr. Robyn A. Sachs, MD, of the Breast Health Center at Beth Israel Deaconess Healthcare in Plymouth. Important topics include early signs of breast cancer, when you should get your mammogram, and any preventative measures people can take to fight this disease. Listen in as we discuss this vital information.
