Love Bites is a weekly segment on The South Shore’s Morning News with lifestyle coach Francesca Luca. You can listen for advice every Wednesday morning at 9:10. The Francesca Luca Show airs every Wednesday evening between 8 and 9pm.
You broke up. You moved on. He didn’t… exactly.
Sure, he’s not showing up at your door with roses but he is sniffing around your digital doorstep. He likes your posts. Watches your reels. Slides into your DMs on your birthday. That’s always the hook, babe. And yeah, maybe you thought: Aww… how sweet. But hold up—are you taking the bait?
It’s Not Love—It’s a Hit of Dopamine
Here’s the truth bomb no one wants to drop:It’s probably not about love.He may not want you back—but the idea that you haven’t moved on? That’s a whole different thrill for him. It’s an ego boost. A "just checking in" to keep you just close enough.
Let’s call it what it is B. S.
His attention isn’t a compliment.It’s a distraction.
So the real question is:Do you actually need or want his attention?

Time to Build Boundaries, Babe
If you’re serious about closing the chapter, here’s the play:
 BUILD. THOSE. BOUNDARIES.
Want him out of your story? Then stop handing him the script. He doesn’t get to pop in for guest appearances. Not anymore.
Because here’s the twisted truth:Some people don’t want to be with you but they REALLY don’t want anyone else to have you either.(Go figure.)

Curiosity and Closure
Yes, exes sometimes check in from a place of regret.People grow. People reflect. But growth doesn't earn them a re-entry pass.
Your job is not to be open. Your job is to be clear.
You don’t owe them explanations. You don’t owe them access. You don’t owe them a front-row seat to your comeback story.

Here’s the Real Power Move
Ask yourself this:
If I knew he was watching… would I change how I’m living? If the answer is yes, then babe, we’ve got work to do.Not for him. For you.
Because your peace depends on this one thing:
Your ability to close the door… and mean it.

Your "Love Bites" Tip of the Day:
My favorite quote(no idea who it belongs to)
“Say it with conviction—and live to tell the tale."
You don’t need eyes on you to prove your worth. You were magic before, during, and after him.Don’t you dare forget it.
So to the woman asking, "Why does my ex keep tabs on me?"Here’s the answer:It doesn’t matter. What matters is why you’re still looking back.
Let him watch. But don’t let him distract you.
He’s a spectator now.You’re the main act.
Put your energy where it counts on the people who show up, not the ones peeking from the sidelines.

Let’s Talk About It
If this hit home for you, I want to hear your story.Email me at info@talkwithfrancesca.com.We’re talking all things boundaries, breakups, and bouncing back.
And as always, don’t just take the bite...Savor the lesson.
With love & tough truth,Francesca

This is Part 2 of a series on More Comfort Monday with Diane Jordan of Natural Body Works in Kingston. You can listen to part 1 by clicking here. More Comfort Monday airs every Monday morning at 7:45 on the South Shore's Morning News.
There is something brewing on the horizon for all of humanity and Diane Jordan explains we are all collectively evolving:
The evolution of humanity is to grow out and away from the societies we’ve built, based on low-vibe energies of war, hate, disrespect, ownership, authority and boundaries between human beings and from humanity toward the earth.
We are evolving into a collective that resonates high-vibe energy; Love, peace, respect, nurturing and accessing higher levels of human potential intelligence at the same time that we access higher levels of Spiritual awareness.
With change, struggles could endure. Diane gives insight on how we may experience these shifts, and the best way to handle them. Listen in as we explore this subject and make sure to listen next week for part 3 of this series:

Love Bites is a weekly segment on The South Shore’s Morning News with lifestyle coach Francesca Luca. You can listen for advice every Wednesday morning at 9:10. The Francesca Luca Show airs every Wednesday evening between 8 and 9pm.
Every now and then, I get a question that hits deep:“Am I destined to be alone?”
If that thought has ever echoed in your head, pause right here. You’re not alone, and no, that’s not your fate. But  can we talk?
It’s not about destiny…  it’s about patterns.
I hear from women who say they want a healthy relationship. They long for someone who’s consistent, emotionally available, and genuinely ready to love. But when they actually meet someone who is those things? They get... uncomfortable. Suspicious. Distant.Suddenly, they start noticing “issues” where there weren’t any before.
Let’s say he’s kind. Checks in regularly. Follows through. Wants to build something real.
Instead of feeling safe, you start to feel suffocated. You question his motives. You wonder, “What’s the catch?”Before you know it, you're pulling away, or worse, pushing him away.
Sound familiar?
Why Peace Can Feel So Unfamiliar
Here’s something we don’t talk about enough:When you’ve experienced emotional inconsistency or chaos in past relationships, calm can feel threatening.
Drama may have been your normal. So now, without it, your nervous system doesn’t know how to rest.
The truth? You might not be afraid of being alone. You might be afraid of letting someone actually stay.
Because if someone stays, you might start to believe they matter. And if they matter… they could hurt you. That’s the heart of it.
But constantly testing someone, starting fights, withdrawing love, sabotaging connection—doesn’t make them prove their loyalty. It just creates exhaustion. And resentment.
Real Talk from Love Bites:
It’s not love if you have to create chaos to feel connection.
It’s not chemistry if it only burns when things go wrong.
You’re not “hard to love”, you’re hard on love.
So… What Can You Do Differently?
If you see yourself in any of this, start here:
Pause before reacting. When you feel the urge to stir something up, ask yourself, “Am I protecting myself or avoiding vulnerability?”
Name the real fear. Is it abandonment? Rejection? Fear of losing control? Get honest. Once you name it, it can’t run the show.
Let calm be okay. Healthy love might not give you a high. But it will give you peace. That’s what you’re craving, even if it doesn’t feel familiar yet.
Stop writing the old script. If you keep rehearsing heartbreak, you won’t recognize love even when it’s front and center.
The Bottom Line?
You’re not destined to be alone. But you do have to choose differently if you want different outcomes.
Let love be easy for once. Let it be soft. Let it be boring in the best possible way.
You don’t need to manufacture a test to see if he’ll stay.Let him show up. Let him love you.
And if you’re always dodging the good stuff, maybe it’s time to stop chasing love and start preparing for it.

The deadline for switching over to Windows 11 is approaching in October. Although they have recently announced some flexible transition options, which you can read about here, there will be a time when we have to move on over to the newer operating system.
And, unfortunately, our tech pro David Snell of ACT Smart I.T. in Wareham has informed us that there are some heightened security concerns with this operating system:
Windows 11 has been widely known to be weak at personal privacy as it comes with a lot of default settings that can be a privacy nightmare.
BUT David Snell always has our back and is offering tips to protect yourself extra:
Windows 11 has several default settings that can compromise your privacy. Fortunately, you can change these settings to better protect your personal data.
We LOVE how David always has our back so click here to check out what he suggests to do to for your privacy maximization.

We're so glad to have Diane Jordan 'realign' us at the start of the work week with  More Comfort Monday, which airs every Monday morning at 7:45 on The South Shore’s Morning News.
Diane Jordan is the owner of Natural Body Works in Kingston and she specializes in all things bodily and metaphysical so for the topic this week, she is holding our hands and letting us know we are all going through... IT. The Big Shift. A collective change from low vibrational energy to HIGH vibes.
The evolution aka “The Great Shift” of humanity and the earth has been clearly shown in writings, Scriptures and prophesies going back thousands of years, all describing the situations and dynamics we are living in, pretty specifically.
Astrology tells us we are entering the Age of Aquarius, focused on humanitarianism, huge technological breakthroughs, Power to the People and Peace.
The common theme in everything I’ve studied is that humanity is working to evolve out of a society built on low-vibe energy, like war, structure, ownership, authority and boundaries; into a collective that resonates high-vibe energy as in peace, nurturing, connection, collaboration and love between humans and towards the earth and the entire Universe.
For humanity to accomplish this evolution, a lot of what we know about the structures of our societies and our understanding of reality has to be released – to allow space for the higher vibrations coming into our collective and individual experience as humans.
Don't be nervous though, Diane knows just what you need. So listen to More Comfort Monday and breathe in... and out....
